Tutorial Upgrade Gingerbread 2.3.4 for Galaxy mini

This tutorial is a continuation from the previous tutorial, have you read and do the previous tutorial? read and try to follow the first tutorial: tutorial Upgrade gingerbread 2.3.3 for galaxy mini
To install this update you don' need to upgrade to 2.3.3 first, you can directly update with tutorial below.

The excess Gingerbread (2.3.4) compared to Froyo (2.2):

  • GB refine the graphics display and improve the performance of Gaming
  • GB optimize the Dalvik VM, if running games / programs that require large memory then the Gingerbread will be more responsive than Froyo.
  • GB already supports VoIP and SIP protocols. So we've been able to phone calls via the internet via Skype or Yahoo Messenger.
  • GB adds new multimedia formats, including AAC, AMR (for Audio format) and VP8, WebM (for the video format). So more audio and video formats that can be played by Android.
  • GB supports a more powerful task manager, to monitor and control the program.
  • GB Keyboard easier to use and facilities cut, copy, paste easier. It would be very useful for newbie no longer make multiquote trouble.
  • GB add a new application download manager for easy download the file from the internet.
  • GB add Soundmixer to create better sound effects.

Tutorial upgrade to gingerbread for galaxy mini:

  1. Extract your downloaded file: gingerbread 2.3.4, ODIN, TASS_v1.0.ops(password=samfirmware.com or sampro.pl if needed).
  2. then open odin
  3. change your mini galaxy to download mode (press the volume down button + middle + off button)
  4. later if the ODIN have successfully read and connected to your galaxy mini, the box collor wil change to yellow
  5. That must be filled in Odin:
    OPS = TASS_v1.0.ops
    BOOT = APBOOT_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5 PHONE = MODEM_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02.tar.md5
    PDA = CODE_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
    CSC = CSC_S5570SERKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
  6. after you finis fill the file and then click the start button
  7. wait about 5 minutes until everything is finished and there is written in the top box pass odin


then your galaxy mini will have installed Gingerbread 2.3.4 on it.. :)
