Samsung GALAXY S3 XXBLH3 Update Available

Official update Ice cream sandwich for Galaxy S3 have been released. yea it is clear that it is not the Android 4.1 Update. All free Samsung Galaxy S3 get XXBLH3 firmware update, I guess it could be a kind of preparatory update to Android 4.1 for the Galaxy S3.

The XXBLH3 update file is around 45 MB and comes via OTA on your Samsung Galaxy S3. It leaves your smartphone but on Android 4.0.4. The following basic data for the new update:

  • PDA: I9300XXBLH3
  • CSC: I9300DBTBLH4
  • Version: 4.0.4
  • Date: 2012-08-24


As you can see, it's so over 2 weeks old. So I guess that it was the "update before the update" and Android 4.1 will be rolled out on the Samsung GALAXY S3 shortly.

Samsung has released this update, but as usual no changelog for XXBLH3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3. First users report they could find no changes. It will probably be really a system update, which meets for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 the preparations.
